River Park


River Park is considered one of the best neighborhoods near Sacramento. The town has a variety of great amenities that boost the quality of life and offer residents a variety of recreational resources. The neighborhood is located between the American River, H Street and the Southern Pacific Railroad. The neighborhood boasts wildlife in its riverside habitat, a strong school system, access to Sacramento State University, two large parks and a public pool. Many of the area's restaurants have been living in River Park since the middle of the 20th century. There are also a number of younger families moving into the area due to the convenient commute and the strong school system. The community is very active and residents can choose from organizations like the Garden Club, Mother's Club and River Park Association for membership. The community sponsors a variety of events throughout the year including an Independence Day parade and festival, a river clean-up, concerts in the park, neighborhood picnics and moving showings on the green. Visitors and residents of River Park can enjoy swimming at the Glenn Hall Park pool or at Paradise Beach. There are also two tennis courts, two soccer fields, two tennis courts, a volleyball court, a children's playground, picnic tables and restrooms at Glenn Hall Park.
