Anthony Bruno, a longtime South Florida restaurateur with family roots in Brooklyn, opened the first Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in 2002 in Fort Lauderdale. He now owns half-a-dozen restaurants in the region. He purposely concentrates on only a few types of food—the pizza, chicken wings, a couple of salads, and a few side dishes.
