Description: The California Zephyr makes two daily stops in Truckee, which serves as a jumping-off point for Lake Tahoe. The trolley runs a day route from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. hourly. Adults ride for $1.50 or can purchase a daily pass for $3.50; seniors, disabled people, and children ages 6 through 12 get an unlimited daily pass for $1.75. Children age 5 and younger ride free.

Description: This public bus service runs from Incline Village to Sugar Pine Point State Park near Meeks Bay and offers shuttle service from Tahoe City to Truckee. Buses on these routes are equipped with racks for bicycles and snow skis. The one-way adult fare is $1.50. Children age 5 and younger ride free. All-day passes are $3.50 for adults, $1.75 for seniors, and 75 cents for disabled passengers. TART buses operate from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week.
