Description: This 26.2-mile marathon draws runners, walkers, and watchers from around the country. Last year the number of participants exceeded 10,000. This is a three-day weekend event with Friday activities featuring a golf tournament and Saturday activities including a Keebler Kids Marathon and a health expo, food, vendors, and activities. The actual marathon is on Sunday and begins in Carlsbad near Plaza Camino Real shopping center. Entrance fees vary; Saturday activities and watching the marathon are free.
