Older CoD Games On Xbox See Huge Player Growth, And Here's Why

Quote:
Players have recently flocked to older Call of Duty games on Xbox 360, including Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 2. Despite these games being over a decade old, the communities are still thriving thanks to a recent change to the matchmaking.

On July 12, players reported that the matchmaking--which previously disallowed users from joining matches--was suddenly fixed.
I took advantage of the fix by playing Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 on my Xbox One since I still have the 360 discs. Those who own an Xbox Series X should also be able to play these older titles online again if they already own the games and Series S owners can buy the digital versions if they want a taste of nostalgia.

I may have to dust off the old Xbox for this then, but only if the multiplayer lobbies are active. I absolutely LOVE Modern Warfare 2 as its still my all time favorite COD game. Had Fall Camo on all of the weapons.
