3yo is kind of a tough age as they are no longer peanut sized, but not that physically capable yet... I think that Trapp Lodge is a big, well run place with tons of activities though. You really need to look through the extensive website yourself or just call them...

...but I saw for example possibilities like horse-drawn sleigh rides, maple sugaring tour, meet the sheep tour, meet the cows tour, hike with goats tour, yoga... and if you have one of these child carrier backpacks and are in decent shape, you might be able to take them snowshoeing...

Montshire museum on Norwich, VT is great. You could stop there on your way to where you are staying since it is on the intersection of 89/91. You can go get a coffee/treat at the King Arthur Flour flagship store down the street.

I might just have to check out those animal tours……next summer.

Well my wife thinks Vermont may be a bit too far of a drive for our 3yo. We’re on Long Island . Changing the destination to upstate NY. Was thinking maybe came back in PA.

Is there usually always snow in certain areas(besides resorts)???

I want to really stay in a scenic area, with snow and indoor pool for daughter but I'm sure to meet all three will be impossible. THanks.
Hello fellow Long Islander. You can have snow and an indoor pool but it all depends on how much you want to pay and how far you want to drive.

The Stowe area usually has snow and so does the ski areas, like Killington. Woodstock is beautiful, Dorset is nice also. Every area of VT is scenic so just go on tripadvisor and find a place that has a good rating with an indoor pool. Check out places in Manchester and Ludlow.

Lake Placid is just about as far north, but it's a pretty straight shot up Rte 87 for most of it, and it's a very nice area up there too, might save you an hour of driving time versus Stowe I am guessing. Heck, the snow would be hit or miss, but if you really want to shorten the drive, you could go to the Berkshires in western MA, like Lenox or Stockbridge - that's a pretty area as well.
