I was wondering if someone could explain to me how the rework actually works? Do I keep calling Marvin? And turning in work search forms? Will I get the back money? Or will I get any money after the rework is complete?

"rework" means that you have to go back to work, earn money, and have a new qualifying separation. Then you have to submit all your paystubs and or time cards to prove that you meant the rework requirement. You will not get back paid. You will only collect going forward from the time you are eligible. Claiming will NOT get you a nickle.

If you have any doubts as to your ability to get a new job and get laid off again, then you need to appeal the determination.

Besides that, you shouldn't post this all over the forums.

Why shouldn't I post it? It's just a question. Why does a person have to do rework anyway?

When you apply for unemployment benefits, you are re approved or denied. If they find that the reason you are no longer employed is your fault, they will deny benefits. Since it looks like they found you left your job without just cause or lost your job because of misconduct, your benefits and all your work history for those benefits are essential wiped out. So, you will not be getting paid unemployment based on your past employment. Now, you need to establish a new work period by getting a new job. That new job has to last and pay enough so that if you lose your job again, the new work period will qualify you for unemployment at that time. Of course, if you are again found to have quit without just cause or was terminated for misconduct, the process will repeat again.

The bigger issue is have you exhausted all your appeal rights with this current claim?

You can post, but you posted the same issue in THREE different threads. It wasn't necessary. One thread is sufficient.

It's against the Terms of Service to make duplicate threads on multiple forums or to make the same post on multiple threads. Per City-Data:

I think you really don't understand the process. Something HAS come back because you know about "rework." That word is used in a denial notice. There is no waiting anymore. You have the decision. You either appeal it or settle for no UI money.

As Chyvan stated, you had to have a formal unemployment determination in order for you to have "Rework" requirement.

However, to cover all bases, please explain what you mean by you had one determination and still waiting for the results. You either had a determination with results or your waiting for a determination -which is it? If your not sure what we are asking, provide a timeline of the events from when you first applied for benefits until now.
