Wait a second, I thought all manufacturing had left upstate New York. What happened?
A lot of smaller spinoffs were created by former employees of bigger manufacturing companies/plants. Some are just smaller, long time companies that are under the radar. Some are start ups on these lists as well.
Well, this is a much healthier situation than when the area relied on giants like Kodak and Carrier.
I think so and I think people get caught up in bigger companies without thinking about these smaller companies. With this said, I think it is key to encourage steady growth for these companies or even getting similar companies to combine in order to be more flexible and to have a variety of ideas/streams of revenue. This is big, as it appears that these companies want to be here or at least it seems that way.
