Lets look back at some past groups subjected to this same opinion; Irish, Italian, Greek, Romanian, Japanese, Phillipino, Chinese, so on and so on, ad infinitum.
I think it's kind of cool to have a Fargo vs Sioux Falls spat on here. They seem like they should be pretty big rivals to each other.
To me, Fargo is the American city most comparable to Sioux Falls, and vice-versa. I like them both and would be willing to live in either of them, were it not for the winter weather. I like Fargo's downtown better, but I like Sioux Falls as a whole better. Neither of them are known for 24/7 excitement, but both of them are solid choices for anyone looking for a quiet, decent, pleasant place to live.

The main issue there is the wind in the winter. The areas northeast of Sioux Falls in the Northwoods have colder temperatures but far less wind overall.
