Created this as a place to recommend, review, or just discuss the many great (or even not so great) breweries around the state.
A friend recently visited West Passage, said he was all around impressed. Anybody else been there yet? First I've really heard of it and don't think it's been around that long, but I'll certainly check it out next time I'm in South County.
If it's not a safe neighborhood I wonder how they have such a successful business. Just because the neighborhood is seedy doesn't make it a ghetto. The term ghetto shouldn't even be used anymore as it is displaying racism.
Long Live Beerworks is located in the West End. This should not be confused with the "West Side", which is the hipster paradise unofficial neighborhood that consists of part of Federal Hill (south of Broadway) and the Armory District (a portion of the West End). Long Live Beerworks is in the down and dirty part of the gang infested and seriously crime ridden West End. Across the street is subsidized housing, and a few hundred feet away is (was?) a homeless encampment.
I totally forgot about them! Used to be quite popular, and sold at like every local store. But they seemed to drop off the face of the earth, they even still around?

Why would you take a quote from me from another thread move it here and start another crime conversation? The point in starting a new thread topic is to have people post to it not for you to take their post from another thread topic and interject them in yours.

Deflect how anyway I don't see any crime happening in those street views. What are they supposed to be showing about such a dangerous area and I thought this was only supposed to be about breweries not crime I didn't introduce the crime thread your crime buddy did.
Why take my quote from another thread and introduce into a perfectly normal thread and then talk about crime?
Just saw this new brewery thread. I'd originally shared this elsewhere, but I'll move it here.
I'm not much of a drinker, and I won't pretend to be an expert on the craft beer movement, but I'll share my 2¢ on the subject.
Of the establishments I've managed to visit, Ragged Island Brewing stood out. The beers I've had there while in the company of family and friends have been delicious, the staff both personable and helpful, the physical space inviting, and the grounds breathtaking.
I have a friend and colleague that's of the mind that Taproot Brewing Company at Newport Vineyards is, in his words, "flying under the radar". I don't have his knowledge of craft beer, but I have been to Taproot with him and enjoyed the beers I sampled. Again, the couple of times my wife and I have joined my friend and his wife there, I found the staff delightful and the physical space appealing. Plus, the vineyard grounds are beautiful. They also had some great food.
Finally, Six Pack Brewing is a small place I've been to in Bristol that I thought was terrific. Great beer, as far as my tastebuds could tell, served in a warm and dog-friendly space. It has the feel of a local, neighborhood establishment. Lots of regulars, if the day my nephew and I visited was any indication.
As many of us are aware, the Disney Twins have been posting so much bad info on here recently. Everything is nice, everywhere is safe, etc. They've also been viciously attacking (and trying to discredit) any member who dares to post anything negative about anywhere in Rhode Island. This relocation forum has become virtually useless due to their efforts to sanitize and promote Rhode Island for potential financial gain. It has also created confusion whereas some of our members are now asking for confirmation from outside sources when knowledgeable forum members post anything negative. I find that to be ridiculous, but here goes...
This person is talking about the Long Live Beerworks locations.
Of course I'm expecting to hear that this person must be a fearmonger, isn't a credible source, and their post is from 1.5 years ago and things have gotten better.

My goodness red plump your crime buddy introduced crime into this thread I didn't at all. I was being respectful of this post and not commenting I'm not the one that brought my post from another thread in here.
You two can't even keep the negativity out of your own threads you start. PS I would love to see where I viciously attack another poster and silly rabbit what financial gain are we looking for?

The topic was about a brewery in Providence, which obviously doesn't belong in a thread about Woonsocket. I figured this was a more appropriate place to carry on that discussion. Point was not to start a new crime discussion, but neighborhood safety cannot be ignored when providing recommendations to readers. Especially those who plan on visiting after dark.
