I don’t live in Rhode Island but I drive on I-195 all the time. It matters to me. Fortunately, my next two trips where I’ll be using the bridge are weekends and off-hours.

Too bad- you could have given us rush hour reports!!!
I went over the bridge last night for the first time since they closed the west bound side. It wasn't rush hour, but there wasn't even a hint of it being slower.
Honestly, we couldn't figure out how/when we veered left to be on the east bound bridge at all! I have to do it again in broad daylight to figure out the shift because it didn't feel like there was one. I mean, three lanes of traffic each direction feels pretty much what it always was.
Now I have to see what awaits me today on the rte 6/95/146 Junction. I had been loving the way it was, so I hope this isn't a return to the bad old days. What's the projected finish date for this viaduct project?
I went over it eastbound in the rain late last night. It desperately needs reflectors.
I've only used it off peak recently and it's an improvement. That said, it's tight. Reflectors would be a big help, but really, people just need to know they can't travel normal highway speeds.
I travel this bridge several times per week for work westbound in the am has improved drastically. However, Eastbound in the afternoon is just as bad if not worse than when there were only 2 lanes at the start of this mess. I am still perplexed how the improvement is so palpable on one side vs the other where there is very little if any change all along.
That being said, the new cross over point at the natural bend in the highway makes so much more sense and makes you wonder why the initial cross over point was used for several months.
