I'll tell every one now- if you can possibly avoid it- don't live in low income subsidized housing.

Why do you insist on highlighting every single crime that happens in the state? RI is one of the lower states for crime in the country! Surely there is something wrong with you.
Holly, this is the top local news story.

Which means there was no reason to post it, really. Everybody saw it.

Saying Festival Field projects and the surrounding area "aren’t that bad", is neither useful nor meaningful. It's deceitful and potentially dangerous.

We're not here to discuss other posters or what race they may or may not be, or even what you think their credibility might be. Also his comments were about the neighborhood, not the housing project itself. You keep trying to make everything personal. In fact the whole reason you commented on the neighborhood was to diss a 3rd poster. And if a white Florida resident has no credibility to post about that neighborhood, than neither does a white Mass resident, I guess. Your rules. I suspect you won't abide by them though.

Knock it off sandsonik, I absolutely do not. If somebody says that Ocean Drive is a nice area, you will never see an argument from me. MARK MY WORD. I do consider it my duty however, to address the wildly inaccurate info. that too often makes its way to this forum.

I am just relating from personal experiences of the area. I have family that have lived in Newport all their lives and we are pretty familiar with Newport and all the area that encompasses it.

No, sandsonik. That poster was specifically speaking about Festival Field.

Your comments about Festival Field suggest otherwise.

And you felt the need to re-post the death of a baby in this forum? You are totally disingenuous. None of us believe your motivation.
