I like Cara Elizibeth, but i know that is not an option. Elise Christine has a beautiful ring to it.
The only problem with a name like Cara (a beautiful name, by the way) is pronunciation can be regional, and it can be irritating to have a name that people pronounce differently than the way you intended it to be.

True, I would say "Care-a" but others might say "Car-a." That happens with lots of names, though. I pronounce my name with three syllables (Joo-li-a) but often get two syllables (Jewel-yuh or Jull-yuh).
Would love some opinions on the girls names we've selected thus far. We're pretty early, but I'm a planner.
My husband's grandmother is Christine, so that's why we've selected that name as the middle name. Laurel is also a family name, as is Cara. Elisabeth is not, but I've always loved the feminity of it.
So...
Cara Christine
Laurel Christine
Lauren Christine
Elisabeth Christine -- we would call her Elise
Also, we have an "L" in our last name... this might make "Laurel" a mouthful?!
Thank you!
bI like all of these names and combinations. Especially. Cara Christine.
I too, am concerned about the lovely "Laurel" and to a lesser extent, "Lauren" with a last name containing an "L" - it could be a mouthful - or sound overly sing song. Since I don't know the name, it's difficult to give a definitive answer.
I love "Elizabeth" but I am not terribly frond of "Elise" as a nick name. I do like Libby, Liz and Beth, though.
Hi,
I love Elisabeth Christine, and you can call her Elise instead of Elisa or Eliza. Elise looks different and uncommon.
Thank you!
She is now ten years old.
