I believe its the wake created by the parade boats that upset other boats. Suddenly its not funny.
I beg to differ. I refuse to even pretend this spectacle isn't seriously funny, because it is - and on so many levels.
They actually thought that people who'd buy big vulgar powerboats and fly Trump flags from them would act with consideration and forethought? Trumpism is 100% about giving in to any base instinct that flitters through your brain. Pure id. Wake discipline can't part of that. What, not doing something you like for the sake of other people?
Well the Right took out their boats to show they have no issues financially or with the virus. Did they over fill their boats? Or enthusiasm?
From what I can tell, the people in the smaller boats thought the people in the larger boats would observe some sort of basic safety protocols, I guess out of solidarity or something? The metaphors write themselves.
And yet despite all the comments, no injuries reported by EMS.
