Haven't been there in a few years, but it is a neat place. Kids just love it!

Thanks for all those great shots! NC is just as beautiful as NH and VT and, yes, even Maine!

Lightbulb Some more

Well, I hope these still count. I just got here to NC late last year (beginning of fall) and we thought it was the most breathtaking fall we've seen so far. Here are some pictures.
1. Lake around the corner of my place
2. Lake wheeler
3. A little friend trying to sleep

Cheers!

Default Pics from a soon-to-be NC resident

I will be moving to NC (Conover) in the near future. I have been enjoying all the info in this forum. Back in 2003 I visited my sister who has a cabin near Piney Creek and took some pictures. Here are 3 of them:

Pic 363 taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Pic 404 taken at Blowing Rock
Pic 419 looking straight down from the Mile-High Swinging Bridge at Grandfather Mountain

Thumbs up OMG...BEAUTIFUL PIC'S you guys!!!!!

I am ABSOLUTELY stunned, speechless and overwhelmed by those pictures!
I really appreaciate nature so much, and it gives me peace and calm in this nutty rat race world.....
We are moving to NC also, and have to start packing up soon. I dread it in a way, because my life just gets a bit more hectic, than it is already.
But, I am DEFINATELY looking forward of taking in NC to the fullest.
Those countryside/ mountain pictures totally remind me of Germany!!!! So, maybe in NC I won't be so homesick????
