Community college costs are already very low.

In the past, online course provider edX tried to partner with MA community colleges to offer a blended model of learning

This program is no longer a thing...not sure why.

People need to be interested in learning and taking courses in the first place...really doesn't matter if they're free although I'm sure that will attractive to some.

There are a number of trade unions in MA that offer apprenticeships where they will train and pay people to learn a trade. They can't find enough people.

My inlaws put 4 kids through college, both worked two jobs. They didn`t go on fancy vacations, buy new cars, or even Starbucks. What about them?
Why have people become so lazy.....always looking for FREE.

Thats amazing. I did the same. Paid for my community college while I was working full time. Does that make me less happy the the future will open even more doors for people who want to learn and do not have the means? Absolutely not.
Should I be mad at someone like MSRB311 whos parents paid for them to go to private school and then subsequently college, so they can now waste their employers money on the internet all day long? maybe. but I'm not.

Specifically 2 other taxpayers contributed to her education. The parents are one (if they file taxes jointly) and the employer is the other one. Calling that situation "taxpayers" while technically accurate, is also misleading.

Not misleading whatsoever but very accurate.

You're freely adminitting that you'd rather use ‘taxpayers’ to connote some level of unfairness that should *actually* be more driven home by these tangible examples. This is the us vs them nonsense.

Wr don't want to talk about employers that won't chip in on Your education, we don't wanna talk about people without parents or with those who can't contribute, we don't wanna talk about how much cheaper college WAS. Lot that we dont wanna talk about in order to further her selfish motivations and worldview. I won't be a part of it.
