The Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon-Bibb County has transitioned its fixed-base operator (FBO) services from Lowe Aviation to direct county management. The change will allow for operational efficiencies and an all-new FBO facility.

A new FBO terminal will be constructed in the shape of a guitar paying homage to Macon Music heritage to welcome visitors. The building will have a second floor restaurant and balcony overlooking the airfield as well as a conference room and a special event space outside. The inside of the building will feature a lot of wood, which Holesko said they would try to source as much as possible from the Middle Georgia area. Construction will begin in 2024.

This was a great watch- I didn’t know that Macon and Tulsa were connected
