Scary stuff..

Also you mentioned this story isn't getting media attention, but it is a top story on Google news.

and the front homepage of CNN.COM

I hope it does continue to get attention and I hope this case is solved.

Do we know if she was traveling with anyone else?
All reports I've seen say she was alone. The paper said the hotel, despite it's attempt to gentrify a bit, is still very dicey. Drug activity, domestic violence, etc... A regular call for the LAPD. I wonder if she saw something she shouldn't have - was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. To add an even more bizarre twist to the, this water tank supplied water for showers and laundry. Hotel guests complained about water leaks and low water pressure - which is what got them to check out the tank I guess. So you find out the water you showered with had a dead body in it.....

I can't imagine how horrific it would be to learn that you have been drinking and brushing your teeth with water that had a decomposing body in it.

I can't imagine how horrific it would be to learn that your daughter was found dead in a water tank.

Yeah I took a look at cnn.com and most people were just posting racist jokes there.
This is America.

Oh yeah...I saw that and thought it was pretty disturbing..

I'm wondering what is becoming of this society, between the school shooting other random shootings and situations like this.

I keep reading "crime is down" but it seems like these random acts of violence are way up...which is really scary.

That hotel is a mess still I guess. The lobby looks grand. But I'm assuming its still a mostly transient hotel. For years all it did was take vouchers that people on general relief(ie the homeless) got.

These people would stay there on the vouchers for something like 29 days and then get kicked out for a couple days so the place could avoid paying some city tax. Basically as close to a slum as LA has.

Theres a small part of it that turned into a relatively nice hostel called "Stay on Main" and I'm guessing thats where this girl was staying.

Hotels in Downtown Los Angeles | stay on main Hotel

But because of homeless services on Main just south of 5th, because of the ****hole Hayward Hotel at Spring/6th, because of the scumbags that still hang around at the Alexandria, the area still attracts scum of the earth and isn't entirely safe.

This tragedy should be a call of action to finally clean this area up of the scum of the earth.

It's not a huge area and the city , small businesses and residents have invested a lot of money and time to turn around downtown la. The city should be on the side of the taxing , law abiding citizens instead of these scumbags. Enough with the politically correct bull**** in this city that treats the scumbag class like GOLD to the detriment of everyone else.

Yes. I haven't seen any mention of her family, which is concerning.

The video clip in the elevator is disturbing.

To the OP, as for this not getting media attention, it was on the front page of the metro section of the LA Times yesterday.

Looks like her decomposing body may have gotten into the water that supplies the hotel rooms.
