In all seriousness though, downtown has come a long way in the last five years. The atmosphere is so nice downtown and it looks to continue its growth. Hopefully we'll see more renovation and better usage of the upper floors of some of the buildings downtown. This will help with business growth as well.
It'll be interesting to see what happens if Steve Williams is elected mayor with the business mindset he brings and some of he ideas he has with free wifi areas and new TIF districts. It will be nice if that could happen with the old ACF property as they have been talking about.
Jos. A. Banks at Pullman doing well, with an opening month performance doing good enough to finish third in its region. Hopefully, this helps attract more businesses downtown.
I spent quit a bit of time this weekend at Pullman Square. There was certainly a lot of folks out shopping and dining. Found a pretty cool new joint to eat at in Roosters beside Marquee Cinemas.
