Cool, and with the bolt peep like mine, but I don't think mine is pre-war. The 348 is underrated, and Hornady has LeveRevolution bullets and ammo available for it.

It's a great cast bullet round as well. Although it shoots very light loads low enough that I can't get enough elevation on that bolt peep to put them on a beer can at say 50 yards. I have read that is a characteristic of two-piece stocks, at least on centerfire rifles.

Sometime I would like to give a Raven Arms gat a try, but, I am guessing it won't be up to my standards.
I’ve played around with a number of those, and you’re not missing anything. They’re as bad as their reputations.

Yeah, as a child-free guy who has always had a decent job, I have generally only bought gats I would be proud of. As Uncle Jeff noted, a decent firearm will last all your life and the life of several heirs and assigns if that makes any difference to you. So cheap out on something else, buy quality firearms (and buy or make quality ammunition as well, the folly of putting cheap milsurp ammo in an otherwise highly accurate firearm, particularly a rifle, is well known).

the problem with brands are when a company get bought out and the new owner maintain the old brand, like winchester, Remington. Some models are great and the new ones might not be bad but since they owned by other the brand name goes down
