Disagree. I paid a grand for my theater projector and had my PC hooked up to it for awhile. It's fine. More then fine.

Again, looked perfect on mine, doesn't need to be dark, and it's not even 4K.

I personally don't like sitting on a couch looking at an 8 foot windows screen, but it is certainly more then usable.

I'm using my projector as a monitor. This thing is awesome. I can watch movies/TV on it without my computer. I can play my PC games on it too. You guys are missing out!
