I live in Lake Carolina and I am seeing more and more Semi Trucks parked all around. On Hard Scrabble on any given weekend there may be 10 or so between Summit and Kelly Mill/Rimer Pond. On Bud Keef inside Lake Carolina, there seems to be 1-2 all the time parked there.
I didn't think Semi's could just park anywhere. Is that not true?

I think there is a huge demand for truck drivers and they are paid very well. So there may be more and more people going into that line of work. They should likely pay for a commercial lot to store their rig, but its likely cheaper to park it on the street. Most subdivisions or residential areas either have posted restrictions that prevent them from parking there or they simply wont fit.. so they move out to the main roads.

The County may have an ordinance that prevents commercial vehicles of a certain size from parking on certain (if not all) County Roads. Then there is the technical issue of Parked vs Stored. No one is allow to store a vehicle on most public streets.. but parking is likely subject to the type of street and the area the street is located. (Commercial vs Residential vs Industrial) As a licensed vehicle, you likely can park anywhere it is legal to do so, though I am sure there are limits with semis

I guess the bottom line is, if you contact Code Enforcement or the Sheriff's Office..they will likely investigate and also let you know what they can enforce.
