This will mean three nice restaurants serving dinner basically within a block of the State House: the Oak Table, Bourbon and Cantina 76.

First Citizens' headquarters is a real feather in the cap of Columbia's CBD. Their renovation of the adjacent Brennan Building where Bourbon will be opening is another. The plaza that's going next to the Brennan Building is under construction now. And now this:

A good source told me this company is moving into a building on Main Street two doors up from Paradise Ice. The building recently underwent a historically correct renovation.

Hopefully there will be enough demand for this and the Starbucks that is opening up in the NBSC building in August.

I had heard Starbucks was looking. I haven't noticed a sign saying their coming.
