feral cats
wild predator birds such as hawks etc they will land on your bird cages and try and kill your keets . they would be very scared at first which might lead to a health issue . Please just don't put them out there thanks
I wouldn't. I have a friend who's lovebird was eaten by a snake in a cage on a screened in porch. The snake couldn't fit through the bars of the cage afterward--it was still there.
Of course my bird's are in a cage and I'm just thinking if they would like to be outdoors for a change.

People all over town do it here, and the birds clearly love it. I enjoy hearing them on my morning walks too. Have never heard of one single bad incident such as the ones that other posters have cited.

I did with mine, on a 7th floor apartment porch, important to keep them out of direct strong sunlight and not leave them unattended. Parakeets are susceptible to drafts but can tolerate cold temps.
If its breezy cover half the cage with a towel to make a wind shield.
They live outside in the wild doh.
Used to see them in flocks when I lived in Sarasota FL.
Mites get into wooden perches, get rid of anything like that, do it all at once.
Their whole enviroment has to be treated in one shot otherwise you just move the bugs around.
I used to put our late budgie, Westie, outside in his cage many years ago.
I clipped his cage door shut with a clothespin and always sat next to him. Once we were sitting on the upper floor of a triplex we lived in and didn't the nasty free-ranging and roaming cat from across the street climb our winding staircase. He almost got to the top of the stairs but he didn't quite make it.
I'd never do it again. There's too many bugs around, plus there's another wandering cat who lives next door. He's already sniffed at our kitchen's sliding door, hearing our birds.
Too many dangers out there for birds.
