Well, I've spent nearly all my life in CA, so I've seen thousands of sunny days already.
But I'm attracted to the lush deep-green landscapes that exist in the wet-side PNW.
And I don't mind overcast skies at all.

Infrastructure in Bend is obviously overtaxed, streets, store parking lots, gas stations weren't made for this kind of crowds, explosive population growth of 3x in 2 decades. And it's spilling into the county. Too much tourism, too many transplants. Camping is getting very taxed now, hard to find places (and people are traveling large distances from Bend to get away from the crowds, as I was told by rangers in Oregon).
Wildfire smoke is strong. All the fires that start in the Cascades or coastal ranges smoke this part of Central Oregon.
Most of the people moving to Bend are from Portland and the Willamette Valley, not California.
