I had a 2013 Tacoma, I didn't see rust below it granted I don't drive salty places, or go through snow. I wash my truck regularly and I didn't see the rust underneath. And I just found out about this problem recently, I haven't owned the truck in a year, but I know it was not rusting in those parts of the frame.
