Interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out for expired items on shelves at Kroger. The one near our place in Johns Creek is always well stocked with friendly employees.

In metro Phoenix grocery competition is highly competitive. The Cincinnati brand is preferred by a majority of my contacts. Sorry to learn service isn't in their dictionary for what fails to be offered in your zip code.

Your comment raises an important point that grocery shoppers should always check the expiration and sell-by dates on all items that they purchase at grocery stores.

Though the problems with expired items frequently being found on shelves don’t seem to be as much of a problem in more affluent areas as they seem to be in comparatively and noticeably less affluent areas.

So grocery shoppers in an affluent Northside suburban area like Johns Creek probably may not necessarily have the kind of problems with service quality (including frequently finding expired items on shelves, dirty floors, etc) that comparatively and/or noticeably less affluent areas (including in the City of Atlanta proper, South Fulton County, Central DeKalb County, South DeKalb County, Clayton County, etc) may be prone to experience on a seemingly more frequent basis.
