Spam? That would be a strange judgement - it's from a well-known and reputable source, and it's immediately apparent what the content is, on the face of it.

Thanks for posting this, OL.

We just watched it (!) and found it interesting (no spoilers from me, folks) but we'll stick with buying our wines from our local purveyor who is a nice guy, putting his kids through college. The big box stores are doing well enough and it makes us happy to kind of go against that tsunami when we can.

What is your take on his opinions of the wines?

Sure thing... and you make a good point, LilyMae - I must admit I do love a good bargain, but I also try to patronize local shops when I can... everyone wants healthy local businesses, but if no one shops there, they won't be there for long. I made a few runs out to Surfland Bait & Tackle in the past couple of weeks instead of web ordering through "Big Outdoors", for just this reason... gotta get ready for striper season, and besides the personal touch, Surfland can provide some local tips because the people who work there are all real fishing finatics and know the area, unlike those working at Big Outdoors.

He is pretty clear about what he likes and does not, and it sounds like there are some real nice bargains at Costco, but just picking a random wine off the shelf there isn't a guarantee of getting a good value. Fittingly for this review, he's not a brand-driven reviewer.

You misinterpreted my post. I didn’t say your post was spam. I said some forums do not allow blind links because it eliminates spam posts. Why are people so uptight on here?
