Description: Playing in the American League West, this Major League Baseball team hosts games in a beautiful stadium built in 1994 to look like stadiums of old. There are 49,292 seats in a spectacular creation of red brick and granite, with a facade that features 35 cast-stone steer heads and 21 cast-stone stars, along with enormous frieze sculptures illustrating baseball images as well as scenes from Texas history. Look for a cattle drive, the Alamo, oil wells, and the Texas Rangers lawmen, the latter the namesake of the team. There’s an office building and a baseball museum in the park, along with an adjacent youth baseball complex and 12-acre pond. Tickets are moderate to expensive.
