Description: It’s been called “Little Shop of Horrors,” and it’s billed as the largest carnivorous plant shop in the United States. About 550 carnivorous plants grow here, with about 120 varieties for sale. These are the meat eaters of the plant world and are endless fun to watch. An unsuspecting fly circles above the Venus flytrap and makes what will be its final landing. Other plants, like the pitcher plant or the bladderwort, are even more unkind to insects. The plants are easy to care for and inexpensive—you could get a dandy one for between $10 and $20 and perhaps be fly-free forever. If you’d like to send one to a friend, a mail-order service is provided.
