Description: Should your springtime excursions begin to convince you that mustard is merely a treat for the eyes, here is an evening that pits Napa Valley’s best chefs in a spread-off, and it’s also the worldwide mustard competition awards ceremony. Champion mustard makers descend on Napa Valley from all over the world to vie for awards. Guests get to taste the entries, along with food and wine. There is live music as well. The event costs $100 ($150 at the door) and is held the night before the Marketplace (see next listing).

Description: For one day in August, Silverado Country Club becomes a large, lush hat passed for Queen of the Valley Medical Center. The full bill includes a fashion show, tennis tournament and golf tournament, lunch, an evening barbecue, dancing, and a silent auction. The cost depends on how many events you mix and match. The fashion show and lunch are $75; evening events and the barbecue are $85; golf, lunch, evening events, and the barbecue are $265; and so on.
