Description: The Carlsbad Golf Center is tucked behind a hill and a strip shopping center right off California Highway 78. Exit at El Camino Real. You might not know it’s there until you’re past the exit. Call for directions if you don’t have a good map because the location is extra nice; it’s worth going out of your way to find this driving range.The center is big, with 58 stations where you hit the ball off imitation grass. It’s rarely crowded. There’s a well-stocked pro shop and you can arrange for lessons here, too. The putting green now has real grass, and there’s a practice sand bunker. Ten dollars will get you a big bucket of 100 balls. Get the tokens in the pro shop.
