I've read a lot about the economy in Williston and have a very broad picture as far as the Bakken Formation ebbs and flows, but I would get a better idea if someone would please give me a few prices of the basics.
Like, how much is a plain loaf of bread?
A half gallon of milk?
A pound of tomatoes?
Potatoes?
A gallon of gas?
An oil change?
An average month of electricity for winter/summer?
How much are snow tires? (I've never bought a set in my life.)
Things like this would be most helpful. We're still planning to move there but crunching numbers in the meantime. We won't be associated with any type of pipeline work at all; I'm retired and my daughter will work any job she can get while attending college online or perhaps commuting.
Thank you in advance!

Not knowing any of the stores except of course Walmart, I did a cost comparison of that store to ours which helped.

I recommend visiting the area at least once for one week to ride around the area and visit the stores and take pictures of the prices, as well as get the general feel of the area. If you have more money, then go ahead for another week . The one thing that must be said when moving somewhere is always take a trip to VISIT the area first, then you know a lot better than not.
