The idea of playing royals off against each other in terms of popularity is nonsense, and just trivialises the proper duties and responsibilities related to the role of a working member of the Royal family.

Diana looked like a fairy tale princess, in addition to her situation marrying Charles. Nothing regarding Camilla Bowles is even close. So no, I would not expect Brits to have a starry eyed love affair with Camilla the way they initially did with Princess Diana.
She’s the complete opposite of Diana…older, homely, not very active in philanthropy. Her presence is still a positive one though, if for no other reason it proved royals should be able to marry who they like and not who tradition dictates.
