No, the crime is not merely that the place is a very far & tedious drive from anywhere. Though that's probably what you were all thinking. This is about the actual Crime in and of Wesley Chapel. You'd think being so far removed from the rest of Tampa Bay that there wouldn't be so much crime there. Oh well. Facts are Facts are Facts.

Let's have a visual look at the criminal element of Wesley Chapel, shall we? This is from the official Pasco County Crime Map shown accessed here https://www.crimereports.com/agency/pascoCSO

I'll show below section by section and try not to overlap to give an accurate view of that far fetched suburb known as Wesley Chapel, where you can drive a long distance away from Tampa's urban core just for the privilege of getting robbed and living in all that criminal activity...

Giving the place all the benefit of the doubt this time around, I've only looked at the safer east side of town, not the area immediate Zephyrhills-adjacent. Because you know what they say about Zephyrhills. Okay, so here's what Wesley Chapel crime looks like for the month of Sept 2015...

Oh look, only 86 + 37 + 7 = 130 criminal incidents in Wesley Chapel on just the east side in one single month.

Is it any surprise to find various websites reporting the property crime in Wesley Chapel to 150% more than the national average?

And yet, after living in Tampa Bay for years we just started the process of building in Wesley Chapel. There is crime everywhere. Wesley Chapel is still a great place to live and raise a family.

I guess thats why so many builders are developing in Wesley Chapel and and a new outlet mall will be opened in that area on October 29th
Luxury apartments are coming soon at Wiregrass and The Ridge at Wiregrass is selling in the middle and higher end sector of what is offered for new built homes.
Estancia is building many new homes and GL homes is going to start building in Meadow Pointe if everything goes as planned.
Must be a scary part on the map...Wesley Chapel.
