I do hear secondhand of several instances where elderly widowed US men develop online relationships with much younger overseas women, then marry them in the US presumably to have long term caregivers.
Could we have a honest and civil discussion as to why 30% of all American men are going to Eastern countries to find wives? According to the current statistics, by 2026 the number will be over 38%.
Probably because those numbers look factually wrong. What is your source?

38% of all American men are not marrying foreign women, that doesn't even make sense.
However, the percentage of foreigners who marry a specific woman like Filipinos could very well be 38% of American men. But those men are not 38% of all American men. They're like 13% (rough guesstimate) of all American men.

When I saw "Eastern" the first thing I thought of was Eastern European, not Asian as from somewhere in Asia.
Of course adding both regions together would drive up the percentage of where those 20% of Americans married to a foreign spouse, that the 2010 US Census reports, originate from. But still would not get close to almost 40 percent of all marriages.

It's 30% of American men who have foreign wives have wives from Eastern countries.
Asian women are only about 3.5% of the USA population, so the math doesn't work for 30%
