Tonight, I'm gonna meet someone special for the first time in my life. We already talked over phone twice, and things seemed compatible. Let's see how it goes in person.

Extrapolating from discussions on this forum, I was under the impression that someone like me would get no attention in America. Turns out I was wrong.

I thought Indian people, I thought that their parents a lot of times set up the kids. I've heard this in the past and we recently watched some documentary by an Indian brother/sister and they went into great detail with how Indian families deal with courting and marriage.

IDK, in some ways not a bad thing, who knows???

ARGH! Don't believe everything you read online, even on C-D. LOL

I don't rep very much at all (because I'm not here much), but I still get a "must spread rep points around" message. I believe today was the first time I ever tried repping a certain member & still got this message. It has been days since I repped anyone and I only repped one person in that several-days span. So it isn't s matter of over-repping.

I don't rep that much either, sometimes as a cheat if you just go around and quick rep a few random people in a row that usually frees you up to rep someone else.

Coming here to also wish all the CD-R dads a happy Father's Day - we just got home from Dad's place, where I treated him to a mixed grill.

Oh right, its fathers day !!

Better call the restaurant and reserve seats.

OTOH, My dad prefers home cooked food to restaurant stuff.

Well, this person is Indian, cooks vegetarian food, and knows my native language.

Sorry to say, but for some reason I find it easier to make an emotional connection through my native language than English

I called my dad this morning, He lives out of state. He has a step-granddaughter that lives near him that wanted to take him out for breakfast, but he declined, saying it was going to be too hot for him. Didn't want to take a chance on that nasty AZ heat. LOL.

Thanks, but didn't really solve the problem cuz I was only able to quick-rep one person. * shrugging *

To the dads out there: No matter what your relationship is the your kid's mother, YOU are still important to your kids. You DO make a difference. Happy Father's Day.
