A developer is planning a large community in Chapel Hill that will feature a variety of housing types, community spaces and retail space as the college town continues to attract big investments.
EB Capital Partners has submitted updated site plans for its project, Chapel Hill Crossing, located where Interstate 40 meets Highway 501 near the Patterson Place shopping center. The community will have up to 567 units spread among apartments, cottages, row houses and townhomes. There will also be about 15,000 square feet of retail space and several amenities, some of which will be available to the public.
Thanks for the link. If they're putting that there without widening Old Chapel Hill Road, it's gonna be another traffic mess. Using that road as is right now is a much quicker alternative than going north-south through all the stoplights on 15-501 between Chapel Hill and Durham, even with its 35 mph speed limit.
