Hello

My wife and I (retired) will be spending a few days in Prescott to look at moving to the area. We are from South Dakota and have had enough with the harsh winters. Besides all that we are looking for local restaurants that we shouldn’t pass up. We are eating at Farm Provisions one night. We like all kinds of food and drink. Would appreciate any insight. We will be staying at the Springhill suites in Prescott if that matters.

Thank you!

One of my very favorites in Prescott. Tapas and a glass of wine outside by the creek.

For breakfast:

b.simple - New Mexican red and green chile and high quality standard fare.
The Local - Higher-end with a unique menu.
The Dinner Bell - The classic diner experience. A local landmark.
Bistro St. Michael - Good quality and great downtown people watching.
Lone Spur Cafe - Huge portions.

Best tapas place in town, IMO.

Good list. I would add the newish Salt and Pepper cafe to the list for a Mexican centric breakfast. I love their chilaquiles roja.

Some of our preferred places to eat/drink:

Plaza liquor: well stocked liquor store with sit down bar, sit down restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating

LazyG brewhouse: good selection of microbrews, reasonable menu, nice outside patio

Labuzzas: great italian food, not open everyday, BYOB

The Palace: oldest operating bar in AZ (from 1800's), original bar, lots of historical memorabilia, bullet holes in ceiling, servers dress in old time garb, full service bar/restaurant

Marks beer garden: local bar with limited food selection but great outdoor patio

The raven: great beer selection, west coast style menu, indoor/outdoor seating on roof

Prescott distillery: local distillery with nice selection of drinks

The final score: local bar with great hamburgers

Uncle Buds: tiny place with good cajun food

Superstition meadery: nice meadery bar if you're into that stuff
