We've seen it primary school education, where we think allocating more money to school budgets will help under-performing students and districts, when the crux of the problem is lack of focus on education at home.

Biden thinks he can just forgive away student loans when the root cause of student debt is astronomical tuition.
For housing, it's offering cheap loans, subsidized housing to those who can't afford it, including homeless boomers now.

Culhane notes that the Biden administration’s 2024 budget includes a $3 billion grant program to support older adults in unstable housing situations and those who are currently experiencing homelessness.

The only saving grace is that at least the money isn't being spent on wars overseas.

Throwing all this money around only makes the problem worse. We need to get at the root of the problem, not just paper over it by overspending.

Each state would have to address tuition cost as their controlled at the state level. All a President can do is either cut federal funding which in the past led to higher tuition cost or try to convince Republican and Democrat Governers to start cutting tuition cost. The student loan cancelling is a bandaid but likely the only one that can be done at the federal level.

If you truly have an issue with tuition cost at public institutions then you need to pressure your governor. This was rolled back staring in California by Reagan as Governer and became a pet project for Republicans to reduce the number of “liberals” on college campus, because poor must have meant liberal in the 1970s? Democrats followed this lead in the 1990s because cutting budgets was all the rage even if it meant tripling cost to your state population education cost, personal responsibility with huge loans at age 17-18 right? Also your taxes will likely go up a bit since the reason tuition was lower is stares were giving more of a percentage of the operating cost to the schools.

So how bad do you want to fix the issue is the real question?

Bad enough to pay a bit more in state taxes or fees to cover the cost and prevent the need for federal loan forgiveness?

Or will you say no to that and settle with barking at the Feds for a State controlled issue?

Throwing money at problems is all we can do. Once corruption sets in, solving any problem becomes nearly impossible.

Holy crap... Only 7 months into FY2024, Biden has already deficit spent $855 billion.

Figure 2 on page 4:

There's no way inflation is going away. Not with this runaway deficit spending. The Federal Reserve is unlikely to lower interest rates, either.

You are free to leave.

Quit reading such biased sources.

Another thread about leaving America.

Either it is just that time of year for the seasonal doomsday stuff,

or it is some anti-Western coordinated release of 'spread doubt and demoralizing vibes' at this time to further bring down America inch by inch ? Release the Dread!

I wonder if the other social medias are getting this.
Is there some production schedule for this mission out there?

No need for coordinated efforts to spread doubt and demoralization - America is doing that all on it's own.

I'm sorry you don't like living in a nation where people throw money at other people to fix problems. If you don't love an abundance of money coming your way for fixing and solving problems, there are over 100 other countries you could live in. Many of them are poor and you will never have to worry about anyone throwing large sums of money at you for fixing problems. But you might have to worry about securing enough food, clean water, etc, as well as how you are going to manage to work all the hours required just to secure the basics in your new hypothetical home.

Can we just be honest? The US isn't destined to fail... certain people are trying to destroy this country. We need to end them so we can fix this country.

America is in auto self-destruct mode at the moment.
