Kim Foxx. LOL. Far Left Soros Stooge. He last donated $20 million to a Pac to re-elect Foxx in 2020.

The good news is she is gone. Foxx is stepping down. The next state's attorney will be Eileen O'Neill Burke, who talks tought on crime. Now the only problem will be the progressive judges who like cashless bail and pass light sentences for criminals.

Fewer arrests means that the reported crime rate goes down.

Of course, that means that criminals will spend more time out and about instead of being in jail, but I guess some people just have a "so what?" kind of attitude.

This sounds terrible. As other has pointed out there are flaws to governing by opposing anything that has a disparate impact. Since there is usually a disparate impact from a victim standpoint as well.

Isn't she fairly unpopular and on her way out of office? I love Chicago. But they really vote for some terrible political leaders. Kim Foxx seemed to be an overreaction to the legitimately terrible police shooting and the national concern (at least among blue America) about police brutality and over incarceration. While there were certainly legitimate aspects to those concerns, Hopefully, voters will be a little more pragmatic going forward. Dem primary voters selected a fairly moderate candidate for DA, so hopefully this policy in question will never actually see the light of day.

Could victims of crime from these people who they let go sue the city for not doing its job and upholding laws? This is another case where left wing policy hurts the innocent and probably the criminals as well. Sometimes the law saves idiots from themselves.

Why bother having any sort of "stops" or crime prevention? After all, such measures are counterproductive to the leftist goal of a completely lawless anarchy where the only punishment administered is when someone has an opinion contrary to the leftist ideal. Or they forget to misuse a pronoun.

Democrat cities want to be re-elected on "Lower Crime Rates". How to you artificially lower crime? Make less things a crime.

Several cities have put limits on traffic stops for minor offenses.

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/15/u...fic-stops.html

Are they saying every traffic stop winds up in vehicle search? The evidence of something else going is probably pretty clear in most cases. It could be drug smells or the driver or passenger has a visible gun.Or there is a warrant out for their arrest for other offenses.

How stupid is that?

Illegal Guns and Drugs are tearing apart the AA community and the way to get both off the streets is to arrest those that deal and possess Illegal guns.

Do we really care if minorities are being pulled over more often and then they are found with drugs and guns? Arrest them and toss them in prison and the city would be safer.

What is it with the Left that wants to molly coddle criminals?
