How is Social Work even a degree. A degree in vacuuming has more value.
The trick is to work for the system, tell criminals they're victims of the system for a handful of years, land a lucrative job at a far-left nonprofit for a handful of years, and then run for office to lead the system you claim to hate and get rich while making things worse for your constituency while proclaiming yourself Savior.

My wife's parents were both very progressive social workers with similar degrees from their respective California state universities in the late 70's.
Talking to them, there was some sensible aspects of that type of degree (at least from the education they got at the time) if one is to follow it with a social work career, especially in public social work service.
Who knows what is taught now at these lefty university indoctrination centers.
The fact that any sensible aspects of that type of degree tends to get drowned in left wing activist nonsense is the down side.

My older son has a Masters in Social Work. He does counselling and has a side gig doing competency evaluations for local court systems. He does valuable work.
