A couple months ago, during a bike ride, found this one on the road near a cantina - moved it from the road to the grassy area nearby, but don't know how much longer it lasted, crazy thing seemed to have a death wish, as kept fluttering onto the road. Maybe near its life end...

I think I have a slight obsession with butterflies.
I'm always trying to chase them down and take pics. These were a little easier because they were taken at the aquarium butterfly conservatory in Chattanooga, TN. Anyone else have pics to share?
Here are a few my daughter, Dee took on a trip to our local Butterfly Gardens....She was 16 at the time, and this was her first time using the camera I gave her.
Oh My Gosh! Thank you so very much. These are all wonderful. You probably already know this but Butterfly is a symbol for tranformation. I study native american Spirit/Totem animals (and bugs!) and this is one of my favoites. They are all out and about here in Prescott AZ this time of year. I would love to get some nice pix so that I could paint some... anyway, thank you
I love butterflys there so pretty.
I gave my grandma a butterfly book because she loves to paint them.
