I received a generous gift from my stylist this week. A couple of weeks ago I had my hair foiled. The bangs were quite long and after she had trimmed them I thought much of the highlights had been cut off. I decided to let it go. But then thinking of an upcoming vacation I decided to call her and go ahead and pay for a partial foil.
To my surprise when she was done she told me it was a gift from her for my vacation. She's such a light in my life.
I took an elderly lady grocery shopping last Tuesday. I helped her reach/get things for her cart. (She uses a cart instead of her walker for stability.) She hadn't been shopping for months and had no food in her house, she told me. Fixed income doesn't allow for Uber/taxi anymore, due to high cost. She 'loaded up" with a whole cart full of items. Mostly frozen chicken/pork (on ad.) No junk food crackers or cookies, just staples.
If I get a chance, I'll try to take her shopping again, this Tuesday coming up.
I connected my friend in Anchorage with my friend in southern MN, which lead to Anchorage friend’s kid getting into a hockey tournament in MN. This tournament is getting the kid exposure he needs in the hockey community which will lead to him leaving AK for greener hockey pastures. This also is leading to us to form a business to be paid to connect networks.
I was out walking the other day and saw two cute little dogs out wandering loose. I checked their collars and took them back to their house and put them in their backyard and closed the gate when no one came to the front door. I did hear voices in the backyard so I know there was someone back there. They just weren't aware that their gate was open.

Last week I was sharing all my knowledge of and experience with TV antennas with an older coworker who is current going through with cancelling his and his wife's cable TV service.
Without going into too much detail
I quietly made it possible for someone to get a week's pay for time spent away managing a family crisis, for which there was no officially-allowed policy to pay.
Another gentleman loaded my bottled water into the cart at Costco. I told the man thank you and let him know that men are supergracious to me at Costco.
Chivalry is NOT DEAD.
Check out post 192 I had previously been posting about how helping others used to just be part of being human. I had been taught by my parents and in turn, I taught my kids to be nice to others and help out when you can. Those packages of water at Costco are heavy! I'm glad someone was there to help out
