I bought NVDA at 190 and sold at 500, done well. Bought myself a Tesla Model S and still have lots. I also bought AMD at $9 and sold at $84 and that also paid me handsomely.

The biggest thing is that INTC was the people's choice and people didn't realize what a crappy management team. Anybody who invested $20k on INT 3 years ago only have $23-25k to show for while if you bought NVDA or AMD 3 years ago with $20k you have atleast $100k.

I bought 1,000,000 shares of APPL for less than a dollar each. I bought Hawaii with the proceeds.

For what it is worth, a lot of AI and autonomous car companies are switching to their own dedicated chips, instead of using NVDA.

With that said, I also tossed $30K into NVDA about a year ago before this current run up. I am actually planning to HODL this and add to the position if it ever dips. It is a bit overvalued, but no more than any other big tech. Before, I was more old school and thought tech stocks were risky, now I think if you hold long term, all tech basically outperforms or at least makes very nice gains. They just print money with very high margins having monopolies in their own niche with little regulations. Even the not-so-sexy Microsoft is up over 400% in the past 5 years.

Bet against Intel at your own peril. I've owned it since the middle 1970s.

I guess my post was more negative then most. I certainly love their products. I’ve spent a lot of money on a monitor from them and a 2080 Gtx (I think).

And people certainly brought up points that could reasonably convince me their run is just getting started.

They’re more than just graphics cards for video games and mining. 41% of their revenue comes from neither of those.

NDVA finally had a red day on Friday. Nothing goes up every day, but let's look to get back in the green on Monday.

All of these chip stocks are on a roll, AMD, MU, etc.

Who knew investing in high tech could be so much fun.

If you were younger and looking to buy individual stocks for a ROTH, what would you be buying today?
