The TV guys were talking about how the rink had to be heated otherwise it would have gotten too brittle and crack.

I get Target Field is an outdoor venue and Vikings Stadium is not, but these events played in Baseball stadiums just don't look that good IMO. Was U of Minnesotas football stadium not available? That stadium has more seating capacity than Target Field.

It was neat to see it played in a real cold weather hockey climate. Even when it was in STL several years ago it was almost too warm to play it, let alone farther points south.

I think the NHL prefers downtown venues vs on the outskirts. More to do in close proximity, fans can walk from hotels to venue, and easier to host ancillary events. That’s why Target Field was chosen.

Oh it was cold. I was there. Was also in Dallas back in 2020, and agree much more authentic in cold weather locations.

Agreed. The one with Detroit vs. Chicago in Ann Arbor had a real cold day with a snowstorm or ice storm just the day before the game, possibly the day of the game. I’m trying to recall. It was perfect.

I missed the game. No excuse for that one will satisfy.

I agree. The Panthers will qualify for postseason contention. How far could they go?

And redeemed themselves quite well.

I will say, however... That the Penguins are kind of a quiet sleeper this season. They are just... GOOD. I give them a nod for a possible final run in the Crosby/Malkin/Letang era.
