Which pre-emergent do you use in the spring?

At those soil temps the bermudagrass is starting to wake up (~55F), but I don't like to apply fertilizer until after the risk of freezing is over (~April 15 here).

I also apply a Fall pre-emerge. I may or may not apply more fertilizer on the lawn - it depends on how the grass is doing, if I've reseeded, rainfall, etc.

I think I've been successful with my lawn if the neighborhood kids take their shoes off just to feel the grass on their feet

Not familiar with that one nor have I seen it ever in my area. Any idea how it compares to Dimension?

Where abouts you located? You mean none of the retailers carry Barricade or Dimension in your area?

The reason I dislike Halts is it does not protect long enough compare to Barricade or Dimension.

As for the rainfall if the skies don't open up, meet the sprinkler.

Extra water is the easy part but how do you get it to stop raining after and inch (or 15 for that matter) has fallen? Giant umbrella?

You got 15" of rain in NC???

Yeah, probably at Lowes or Home Depot if you have those near you.

Otherwise, see if there is a local Lesco store (Site One). I have been calling my location regularly to keep an eye on the ground temperature to time the crabgrass preventer just right.
