Thyroid is a major issue with the "F" in our bodies and although this article doesn't mention "F" it talks about how people taking Levo synthetic thyroid are still having enough negative issues and some still take anti depressants. Desiccated thyroid is mentioned and since I'm on it since 2002, no A/D's. I avoid the "F" tap water here.

Interesting. Did not know the connection between fluoride and thyroid issues which my husband has been having for over 30 years. We both are from NYC. I suppose I can consider myself fortunate that my reaction has only been hives. Water filters, not lifetime drugs, solve that.

No one will ever know just How Much Damage "F" has been doing for decades.

I know there was a movement to remove all the NYC "F" and I don't hear anything lately on what is happening on that scene. Here's some NYC history and "F".\

Here's the latest on the "removal" of "F". I don't know what is going on now.

I don't believe the government should be adding anything to our water. It's amazing in our country that so many of us are forced to buy bottled water because of the garbage in our water, not just fluoride but the heavy amounts of chlorine which seem to be particularly bad in Florida. The water in NYC is delicious compared to the water here.

Kennebunk "gets it"...as noted in the article all public waters have naturally occurring calcium fluoride in it but the "pushers" keep pushing communities to add their toxic waste materials.

***INFORMATION ON WATER FLUORIDATION*** - kkw.org

The originators of this PUSH were so so smart and have lived long off the obscene profits.

And we have no idea how much damage this practice has done to the population of humans and animals.

There have been other petitions and anti fluoride activists. Those who KNOW about this toxin are not happy....so many are just too busy or don't care. But that's MOST of the U.S. population, don't care. And have no clue about the waste by product going into public waters at HUGE profits for the chemical industries.

And people who live in areas without fluoridation in their water, like Long Island very close to NYC, refuse all efforts to impose it on them.

Jamin, you will happy to know that since I moved from Fluoride Florida to Non-Fluoride Poconos, Pa., I do not get hives from the water, without $100 Shower Filters every 6 months. But I knew I wouldn't from living on Long Island before and visits back there.

I am not going to get into CIPRO on this thread, but keep up the good efforts, Jamin, because the public has the right to know and choose.

If you think fluoride is necessary for your kids teeth, then their doctor can give them a script for fluoride tabs. My daughters Pediatrician suggested that 30 years ago when we moved from NYC to LI. No thanks. Do that. That way you won't impose your views, and $100 shower filters, on others.
