Will Clemson claw its way back into contention?

Can Michigan keep up their momentum?

Is there a dark horse?

My dark horse would be Tennessee, or Miami...yours?

I think they are a good team now but the 2023 schedule has them playing @ Florida and @ Alabama. They get Georgia at home. Those are the 3 games that will most likely determine how their season goes.

Do you have Sep 9 circled on your calendar?? Clear that hurdle and the Longhorns could have a memorable season. This could be Sark's 'make or break' season.

I am throwing Penn State into this conversation. They put a hurting on Utah in the Rose Bowl. Some bumps in the schedule with WVA, Iowa, Maryland and Michigan State although I think they can handle those squads. The kryptonite in the Nittany Lions schedule is away at Ohio State and at home Michigan for the white out game. Two good running backs but 5 star QB Drew Allar will be tested since he's got the keys to this engine. Defense is restocked. Should be an interesting season.

Possibly? The PAC-12 could wind up with an unbeaten squad like the Washington Huskies while the SEC, Big10 and ACC take turns with leaders with one or two losses. USC gets all the attention but didn't play UW last year and the Huskies are over all the USC, Oregon or Utah chatter. They play USC this year the week before USC travels to Oregon. Perfect letdown time for USC...

Is this a typo??????

They would be near the dead bottom of my list among all P5 teams to be a dark horse, lol.

Miami has the #7 ranked recruiting class right now, and they've been recruiting well for a couple of years. They have a ton of talent right there in Miami's High Schools'.

I like their coach Mario Cristobal too.

Seeing as how a mediocre Texas really defeated Bama on the field (but not on the scoreboard because of the incompetent non-call on the obvious safety) last fall in Austin , and the improvements being made in most positions, the Horns should do much better in Tuscaloosa - if Sark doesn’t screw it up.
That’s the hope, anyway.
