I can remember when they were a perennial top-ten team. What caused the programs slide?
we saw them in the Orange Bowl is 1989 or was it 1990? I am not sure; regardless, they lost a couple of top notch coaches for starters. After than who knows, but it looks like they may be on the road to turn the program around. I am so excited: I have 4 fav teams, all are doing well this year. None are anywhere near the top of the list, but all should make bowl games. Of course that isn't saying much.
McGowdog: I disagree with you on Colo football. Things change, good years often follow bad years or decades. Give Colo, all three teams you mentioned: watch them turn around.
It was forty years ago that I went to CU. Only went the one year since I was defeated by the g of f of x in Calculus.
The football team had a good year, winning all 6 home games and going to the Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl. Folsom Stadium was a real loony-bin. The only other college football games I had attended were at the Naval Academy. Big difference between student bodies at those two schools.
This movie has nothing to do with CU, but it's pretty funny, and mentions the word "reign" in the title.
Michigan fan here. MacIntyre has done a great job at CU, and I believe CU will get back in the rankings and have a chance to win the Pac-12 South. CU would not have lost to USC with Sefo Liufau. I can see an 8 or 9-win season for the Buffs this season. Sefo Liufau is probably among the top 2 best QBs we will have faced once the regular season is done, if not actually #1 in terms of even just passing.
It's great to see CO coming back to what CO was in the past. I hope some of you will also post in the PAC-12 Thread

you have to admit the game yesterday was pretty ugly but it was a win. I wonder if anyone knows why the great runner, Lindsay did not play the second 1/2? Colo might have won by a couple more touchdowns had he been playing.

Buffs did look good first part of that game.
Colorado beats Washington State beating their first top 25 since 2009.
